From the UMCP Math department,
the drive to the Boyles' is about
3 miles:
-
Drive out Azalea Lane to University Boulevard.
-
Continue across University Boulevard, now Azalea becomes Metzerott
Road. The second light after University is at Adelphi.
-
Take the second left off Metzerott after Adelphi, onto 23rd Ave.
-
After 4 blocks, 23rd Court hits 23rd Avenue from the left; opposite,
on the right side, is the Boyles' driveway.
(There is just one driveway on the right side after the Boyles',
before 23rd Avenue hits its dead end. )
-
Park on the street. The larger house, on the
right side of the driveway as you walk up, is the Boyles'.
From the Quality Inn on Route 1,
the total drive is roughly perhaps 4 miles:
-
Drive south on Route 1 to the very next traffic light (at Guilford),
which has an Exxon station on the far right corner. Turn right.
- The road will hit a small traffic circle. Exit at 270 degrees
(essentially you are making a left turn).
-
At the first serious intersection (the second stoplight),
turn right, onto Adelphi.
-
Almost immediately there is another stoplight--go straight
through, continuing on Adelphi.
- Turn left at the next stoplight, onto Metzerott Road.
- Take the second left, onto 23rd Avenue.
-
After 4 blocks, 23rd Court hits 23rd Avenue from the left; opposite,
on the right side, is the Boyles' driveway.
(There is just one driveway on the right side after the Boyles',
before 23rd Avenue hits its dead end. )
-
Park on the street. The larger house, on the
right side of the driveway as you walk up, is the Boyles'.
From I-95, coming south from Baltimore:
- Exit onto 495 (the Beltway), going west toward Silver Spring and Virgina.
- Take the New Hampshire exit going south
(New Hampshire is the first
possible exit and the south exit is the second of the two exits onto
New Hampshire).
- Take a left at the second light onto Adelphi.
(The left is taken from a very long left turn lane.)
- Take a right onto Metzerott (the second light).
(There is a turning lane for this right turn, slightly
before the actual stoplight at Metzerott.)
- Take the second left (onto 23rd Avenue).
-
After 4 blocks, 23rd Court hits 23rd Avenue from the left; opposite,
on the right side, is the Boyles' driveway.
(There is just one driveway on the right side after the Boyles',
before 23rd Avenue hits its dead end. )
-
Park on the street. The larger house, on the
right side of the driveway as you walk up, is the Boyles'.
From I-270, coming from the north:
- Exit onto 495 (the Beltway), going east.
- Take the New Hampshire exit going south.
(The exits before New Hampshire are University Blvd. and Colesville
Rd. The New Hampshire exit is the last exit before the turnoff to
I-95 going north.)
- Take a left at the second light, onto Adelphi.
(The left is taken from a very long left turn lane.)
- Take a right onto Metzerott (the second light).
(There is a turning lane for this right turn, slightly
before the actual stoplight at Metzerott.)
- Take the second left (onto 23rd Avenue).
