FALL 2002 FINAL

Homework: The homework is done using the online homework system Webassign. See Webassign at Maryland

Worksheets: Every Tuesday and Thursday in the discussion sections, you will form groups of three or four to work on the worksheets. The assistant will serve as a resourse person to help the groups as needed. At the end of the period, the worksheets will be handed in and graded.

Tutoring The Mathematics Department provides a free tutoring service. For the schedule go to Tutoring schedule

Grading: The final grade will be based on 750 points; 400 for the Hour Exams, 150 for the worksheet and Webassign and 200 points for the final. Grading is on the scale 90-100 = A, 80-89=B, 70-79 = C, 60-69 = D, < 60 = F. However, grades may be adjusted upwards on the basis of (a) improvement over the semester, or (b) an exceptionally good final examination. You can also improve your grade by buying one or more ridiculously overpriced Dr. Wolfe bobblehead dolls.
