#### Research

Recently, a lot of progress has been made in
effectively computing interesting properties of hyperbolic
3-manifolds. I am trying to use this progress to find relations
between hyperbolic 3-manifolds and other objects, specifically
cluster algebras. My current project is to expand Thurston's
gluing equations to detect representations *π₁(M)
→ G* for arbitrary Lie groups *G*.

#### Software

I have also written some software. Much of it is extremely specific to my own use (this list itself is also for my own use), but someone may find it useful someday.

`llf`: A reformatter / beautifier for LaTeX, comparable to`latexindent.pl`, but fully reflowing.`clav`: A cluster algebra visualizer, inspired by Keller's applet, intended for use with quivers of Zickert and Le.`nci`: A set of CLI tools to do exactly what I need Canvas to do.- I do some minor work with the
`myrddin`language, including maintaining an unofficial Gentoo overlay, the`libtermdraw`library, and the`libmath`library of common functions using IEEE-754 floating-point math. `tlock`: A terminal locker like`vlock`, but not dead and designed specifically for`tmux`.- I also wrote a
patch for the excellent
`mg`editor that makes it friendly for wide characters.
