Homepage of Joseph R. Heavner

I study math at the University of Maryland. I am most interested in number theory, algebraic geometry, and other fields that make interesting use of algebraic machinery.

I've written a great deal about mathematics and related topics online.

In Fall 2023, I was part of the Preliminary Arizona Winter School on CM Elliptic Curves and Abelian Varieties.

I also took a reading course on modular forms, automorphic forms, and their applications.

You can find the slides for a talk based on a small piece of this course here: Modular Forms Talk Slides and Modular Forms Talk Handout.

This site is a work-in-progress. I will post more useful things eventually!
