Homework: |
Homework Problems are assigned during lectures and posted on this webpage. Those problems assigned in the previous week will be collected on Thursday. |
Exam: |
There will be three tests and one final exam. The materials covered by each Test will be announced in class and will be posted on this webpage a week in advance. Two of three best test scores will be counted for the course grade. The final exam will be comprehensive, and the grade of final exam can be used to raise the student's course grade by dropping all test scores. Because of such test policy, NO MAKE-UP TESTS WILL BE GIVEN. If a student misses a test without a legitmate reason (verifiable official documents are required), he/she will receive 0 on the test. If a student misses a test with a legitmate reason, discuss the situation with the instructor. |

Limited formula sheets are allowed during tests. The formula sheets must be self-made and can only contain definitions, theorems and formulas. |
Self-made formula sheet means that it must be handwritten or self-typed with font size not smaller than 12, and no photocopy or snap-shot of any part of any book or any hand-written/internet materials is allowed.
No specific examples or H.W./Test problems or any proofs/derivations are allowed on the formula sheets!
