• Hints for Assignment 3
  • Problem 1:

    You should hand in four plots, each showing p(x) and f(x) together in one graph.

    Use the Vandermonde matrix to determine the interpolating polynomial.

    For the maximal error: Evaluate |f(x)-p(x)| for x = -7,-6.9,...,13 and take the maximum of those values.

  • Problem 1 and 2: You can use the Matlab command spline
  • Problem 3: Typo: It should be ``t = -20,-19,...,119,120''.
