Abstract:
The motion of the ideal incompressible fluid in a 2-d domain can be regarded as the result of interaction of many actors, which in this case are the vortices. Their behavior is characterized by progressive mixing. The states of maximal mixing are found to be steady and stable flows. In order to achieve them, we introduce a mixing process which can be called a pseudoflow. This process results in the alignment of vortices, so that they produce a steady flow. This is well seen in the numerical simulation. |
