Research Interest

I am interested in the broad field of fluid dynamics, combustion, and optical and laser diagnostics, applied to aeropropulsion. My primary research interest is in understanding basic physical mechanisms associated with various time-dependent phenomena involving turbulent shear flow, passive and active jet mixing enhancement, combustion control, and other thermo-acoustic processes to improve aeropropulsion performance and reduce pollutant emission. My past research projects have included work on combustion instabilities, active combustion control, liquid-fuel injection, supercritical jet breakup, plume afterburning, supersonic combustion, high angle-of-attack aerodynamics, laser-based flow visualization, waste incineration, and micro electro-mechanical systems.
