CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

CONFERENCE LECTURES

ABSTRACT

Modern applications of kinetic equations and related models are giving rise to new research directions in plasma physics, quantum mechanics, biochemistry, cellular transport, fluid dynamics, and materials science. We intend to identify important mathematical problems that can be derived from these new applications, and to discuss new methods for addressing these challenges.

GOALS

A key goal of the conference is to initiate new collaborations between scientists and mathematicians who come from communities that do not have many opportunities for close interactions. In addition to formal presentations there will be time for informal discussions and open questions, as well as panel discussions about future directions.
