ABSTRACT

We will study asymptotic models and multiscale methods for quantum dynamics with non-adiabatic effects. Such effects make the classical Born-Oppenheimer approximation break down yet are important to capture quantum mechanics phenomenon such as the Berry connection and Berry phase which are relevant to quantum hall effects and chemical reactions.
